Our Story
From Seed to Cup
Roast & Bloom was born from a shared obsession. Founders Maya Chen and Elijah Osei — both former World Barista Championship finalists — spent years sourcing beans directly from small-plot farmers in Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region before opening their first Brooklyn café in 2016.
Their philosophy was simple: treat every step of the process with the same care you'd give the cup itself. Today, three locations later, that philosophy drives everything from the handshakes with farmers in Colombia to the temperature of every pour-over pulled on a Tuesday morning in Williamsburg.
